The Clagg Creek area is underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. The stratigraphy is intruded by Late Triassic granodiorite, Early Jurassic monzodiorite to gabbro (Texas Creek Plutonic Suite) and Triassic to Jurassic syenite to monzonite (Copper Mountain Plutonic Suite).

The Clag Creek zone consists of chlorite-epidote altered andesite feldspar porphyry flows. Strong and prominent fracturing at 036 and 154 degrees is hosts finely disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite. Samples graded up to 1.3 per cent copper, 0.65 gram per tonne gold and 8.23 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 20843). The zone extends for approximately 250 metres northwards and is about 30 metres in width.
